The project “Creation of the Strategic Roadmap for Tourism Development in the International Tagus Natural Park” aimed to provide a strategic instrument to guide and support the intervention of tourism agents/promoters in the PNTI, in order to frame the evolution of tourism activity in the basic principles of the creation of this protected area, contributing to its sustainable development. The aim was to determine the identity factors of the local communities that can be mobilized for tourism promotion, as well as to define the tourism potential of the PNTI, identifying strategic lines that support the promotion of the tourism sector and also to mobilize and link the actors (companies and organizations of catering, hospitality and sports, leisure and culture activities) to undertake actions.
