The Experimenta Paisagem Museum aims to promote culture, heritage and the arts, while simultaneously enhancing tourism in this region marked by depopulation, in a process sustained on the territory’s resources.
MEP is a project to be implemented over more than 4 years, with art tours in the landscape in the municipalities, in which each work is created specifically for this museum programme.
MEP stems from the previous Cortiçada Art Fest project, promoted by the municipalities of Proença-a-Nova, Oleiros and Sertã, which intended to contribute to a reversal of the desertification of the territory through a consistent bet on culture, but also in the development of an identity and a sense of belonging of the enlarged community of the territories of the three municipalities.
