In Interior Design and Architecture, we respond to the needs and aspirations of society, and the public may be anonymous or not. We can develop a narrative, communicate a specific message, explore a scenic sense that brings us closer to creative areas such as fine arts, set design and jewellery itself. These are areas responsible for the production of environments, spaces or objects that make us dream not just being “functional”. Jewellery can act as a symbol of social status or a link with one’s self nature. The present jewellery project is being developed inside CIAUD and intends to deep that same link, exploring the connection between jewel and home, an intimate space that reflects your own individuality, not confining you to one single organization every day giving you freedom to manipulate it.

The imagined space inspired by nature begins to determine the jewel. Its volumes and definition of ceilings is translated into organic surfaces composed of oblique planes that integrate the modular forms of hand-scale pieces and principles such as the use of vast transparencies that relate to exte-rior and interior, decomposition from the interior into volumes that define a private and public frontier, full and empty opposition, chromatic contrast, shadow and light values, textures and asymme-tries at the level of composition. Mutability and versatility are the main principles. Instruments such as sketches, or models were alternated with three-dimensional modeling software and 3D printing, exploiting new production media without losing track of the artisanal knowledges. From printed components, wastes or mass-produced objects that are no longer useful, crossed with traditional materials, we proceed to the creation of limited series pieces suitable for a public who values jewels by its unique design regardless of the value of its constructive solution.
